I have a routine every morning...drag myself out of a warm bed..get my caffine...turn on my puter...make a small breakfast....read this page and a few others...shower and head off to work...
The other morning i woke up late...i had to choose what would be the sacrificial item of my routine...breakfast and reading lost...problem with that is i do not function well without food..so i made a quick stop by one of those national chain food places for a sandwich...(i know not real cost effective)...
Anyway i used the drive thru (another thing i very rarely do *think Joe Pechi in Lethal Weapon*)...my order was simple and accually correct for once...the lady was nice and chipper for so early in the morning...but after i drove off i discovered not real good at counting...i had handed her a 20.00 for a 3.50 bill...when i looked at my change i had 21.50...it bothered me all day...after work i went back and talked to the manager and gave him the 5.00 back...he gave me 10.00 worth of coupons for my effort...
I didn't mention when i used the drive thru..or decribe who helped me...i didn't want to get her in trouble..later realizing that after the drawer was counted they would know anyway...
My question is...what would you have done?..returned the money or let it be as it is?
What would you do?

I count my change when I get it. A few times the cashier has given me too much, and I gave it back to them on the spot. I'm a tightwad, but not a thief. And besides, who wants to get on karma's bad side?

There is a saying along the lines of :
The RIGHT thing to do is rarely the EASY thing to do.
